7-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m / 5,085 ft)
· Drive: 6–7 hours (approx. 117 km)
· Scenic journey through hills and Trishuli River valley.
· Overnight in Syabrubesi.
Day 2: Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m / 7,808 ft)
· Trek: 5–6 hours, ~11 km / 6.8 miles
· Elevation gain: +830m
· Follow Langtang River through dense forest.
· Chance to spot monkeys and local wildlife.
Day 3: Trek to Mundu (3,540m / 11,614 ft) via Langtang Village
· Trek: 6–7 hours, ~12 km / 7.5 miles
· Elevation gain: +1,160m
· Pass through Ghoda Tabela and reach Langtang Village (rebuilt after earthquake).
· Stunning mountain views begin to open up.
Day 4: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m / 12,697 ft)
· Trek: 3–4 hours, ~6 km / 3.7 miles
· Elevation gain: +330m
· Short walk to Kyanjin Gompa with impressive views of peaks and glaciers.
· Visit the local cheese factory and monastery.
Day 5: Explore Kyanjin Gompa – Climb Kyanjin Ri (4,773m / 15,659 ft) & Return
· Hike: 4–5 hours round trip to Kyanjin Ri
· Optional ascent for breathtaking 360-degree views of Langtang Lirung, Yala Peak, and more.
· Alternative: Relax or visit Tserko Ri (longer hike).
· Overnight again in Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 6: Trek back to Lama Hotel (2,380m)
· Trek: 6–7 hours, ~18 km / 11.2 miles
· Elevation loss: -1,490m
· Retrace steps through Mundu and Langtang Village.
Day 7: Trek to Syabrubesi & Drive to Kathmandu
· Trek: 4–5 hours, ~11 km / 6.8 miles
· Drive to Kathmandu: 6–7 hours
· Final descent through forests to Syabrubesi and return drive to Kathmandu.
